ISMAEL Medina Manzano
I am an architect and PhD Candidate at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, with my practice and research based between Madrid and New York. My architectural work focuses on the intersection of design and research, exploring issues such as infrastructural systems, domestic adaptability, material responsibility, and ecological transformation.Through both my academic and professional experience — as a lecturer, critic, and practitioner — I aim to foster critical and inclusive discussions around architecture’s social and environmental roles. I have recently been awarded the FRAME Award 2025 – Winner of the Year (Small Apartment) for my project Unplanned Domestic Prototype, which embodies these values.
