I like the way you integrated the window size and locations with surrounding outdoor spaces and PV array. Your materials selection with wood and white materials on the facade gives the whole building a warm tone, which is really friendly to kids.
Now the canopy reads visually like it’s part of the flat roof, even though it’s actually detached. If the canopy is going to be as thick as the roof, it might be more effective to extend the pitched roof continuously, similar to how Shirasagi Children’s Library unifies its spaces under one large, slanted roof that ties the building together as a single form.
If the canopy is intended to be a separate component, it would be great if it felt lighter in structure. You could explore options like suspending wood slats from slender steel beams, making it visually lighter and echoing the character of your outdoor trellis canopy. This would give the canopy its own identity while still feeling cohesive with the rest of the design.
